Question 1

Pergola or pavilion — what's the difference?

Accepted Answer

A pergola has an open or slatted roof that filters sun. A pavilion has a solid pitched roof that keeps rain off. Pavilions more often require permits and footings.

Question 2

Is installation included?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the product and supplier. Your quote will state clearly whether installation is included or arranged separately.

Question 3

What site preparation is needed?

Accepted Answer

Most structures need a level site with clear access for the delivery or install crew. Whether that means gravel, concrete or bare level ground depends on the product — we'll tell you what applies before you commit.

Question 4

Do I need a permit?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your county or city and on the structure's size and use. Many areas require one for permanent or larger buildings. Check with your local building department before ordering — permits are the property owner's responsibility.

Question 5

Why do you quote instead of listing a price?

Accepted Answer

Price depends on size, options, anchoring, delivery location and current supplier pricing. A written quote reflects your actual project instead of a starting price that rarely matches what you end up buying.
